Check out some of the faces that are making waves in Nashville and all over the country!
Starting in August each month, FQC will feature an ARTIST/BAND OF THE MONTH.
Tin Charlotte
TIN CHARLOTTE consists of four highly impassioned individuals who emote a hypnotic and high-powered sound. Influenced by more mainstream bands like Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, and U2, TIN CHARLOTTE has also taken notes from more obscure artists such as The Violet Burning and The Prayer Chain. With a dynamic live show, TIN CHARLOTTE has combined powerful, anthem driven melodies with romantic and sometimes spiritual lyrics to create the intense, high-wrought emotion that compels hearts to romance and souls to tears.
Leslie Road
Nashville's loudest pop act, Leslie Road was formed by singer/songwriter Jason Minton in 1995. Joined a year later by Rush enthusiast and drummer Matt Mendians, the line-up was completed a year later with the addition of guitarist J.T. "Teebes" Kelso. Combining Jason's Bad Company-meets-Sir Paul songwriting with Teebes' and Matts more progressive playing styles has yielded a sound that has been compared to such diverse bands as Signals-era Rush, Cheap Trick, U2 and Pink Floyd, but with a thoroughly modern edge.
Jordan's Wake
"Dark and dreary Art Rock that combines excellent musicianship with an appreciation of music as art. Some pretty interesting songwriting." –Audiogalaxy
Lee Hester
In December of 1999 something happened in the life of Lee Hester that would forever change him and his music. The singer-songwriter took a break from his art, put down his guitar, and separated himself from his love. It was time to refocus, and truly find out who he was outside of the routine he had been in. There were valuable life lessons that needed to be learned in order for him and his music to grow to their potential. It wasn't until May of 2000 that Lee made his way back into the studio to demo new ideas. "That time built the bridge between where I was then, and where I am now," states Hester of his time off. And where he is now is a place of greater maturity and insight into his own life and circumstances. Gaining a better understanding of himself has brought the communication of his art and its ability to relate to his audience to a higher level than ever before. The new material is unique to his previous work both lyrically and musically. It hosts a new sound that is significant of the new place in his life. This fresh batch of tunes is what comprises his latest offering appropriately titled "I'm Ready".
